Service as a Software? Think about it!

The SaaS business model that has helped us all for the past 20 years is being turned on its head! Traditionally SaaS meant that software helped us humans do our respective jobs / work product more efficiently. Now with AI and its avalanche of agents rolling out today, software is proving it can do all the work.

The impact of this reversal is enormous as software and human capital (labour) are blending into one market. What does this mean ? For typical SaaS, companies employ a workforce to manage and operate the software, because software doesn’t run itself. So labour markets and software markets have been separate- the much larger budget being labour hiring, which dwarfs the software budget.

The outcome of a blended market where software and labour becomes one, means a massive opportunity, which I will speak more about in the coming weeks in my commentary, so stay tuned.
